At dsciencetutor.com, your privacy is taken seriously. This policy outlines how I collect, store, and use your personal information when you visit the website, book a session, or communicate with me. I want to keep things clear and respectful—no jargon, just transparency.
This policy aligns with data protection laws including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What Personal Information I Collect
When you engage with the site or book lessons via Microsoft Bookings, I may collect and process the following:
1. Contact & Communication Information
This includes your name, email address, phone number, or other details you provide when booking or contacting me. I collect this information so I can:
Confirm and manage your lesson bookings
Stay in touch about your child’s progress
Provide invoices or receipts
Respond to questions or issues promptly
2. Booking & Payment Data
If you purchase a session, I may process limited payment details (e.g. name and billing information). All payments are managed securely through trusted third-party platforms such as Paypal and Stripe (where applicable), and I do not store or access your full card details.
3. Technical Data
Like most websites, I use basic tools to understand how visitors use the site—this includes things like page views, session duration, or how you arrived at the site. This helps me improve the website’s functionality and user experience.

Microsoft Bookings
All lesson scheduling is handled through  Microsoft Bookings. When you book a session:
Your name, email address, and chosen time are securely stored by Microsoft
This information is used solely for the purpose of scheduling and running your tuition sessions
You may receive automated reminders or updates about your booking
For Microsoft’s privacy terms, you can visit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/privacy/privacystatement

How Your Data Is Stored
Data shared through Microsoft Bookings and email is stored securely via Microsoft’s infrastructure. I do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Links to Third-Party Sites
Sometimes I may include links to helpful resources. Please note that if you follow a link to a third-party site, their privacy practices may differ from mine. I recommend checking their policies directly.

Cookies
Cookies are small files that help websites work better for visitors. Like many sites, I may use cookies to:
Understand how visitors navigate my website
Ensure basic functionality (e.g. remembering your preferences)
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or notify you when one is being used. Disabling cookies may affect how the site functions for you.

How Long I Keep Your Data
Your information is only kept for as long as it’s needed—whether that’s to deliver your lessons, respond to questions, or maintain records for tax/legal purposes.
You can request that I delete your data at any time, and unless there’s a legal reason not to, I’ll honour your request promptly.

Your Rights
Under data protection laws, you have the right to:
Correct or update your information
Ask for your data to be erased or restricted
Object to how your data is used
Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the basis for processing)
If you’d like to exercise any of these rights, just email: dsciencetutor@gmail.com

Policy Updates
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the law or how I operate. When that happens, I’ll update the “last revised” date above. Major changes will be communicated clearly on the site.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, feel free to reach out—I'm always happy to help.
